Victoria1867
Just an observation. I've lived in Sheffield for 3 years now - I previously lived in Dronfield. My current GP surgery is 10000x better than anything I've known in Dronfield. They're always helpful, there's no need for a bazillion phone calls to make an appointment AND they're online when it comes to booking appointments etc. Dronfield is SO far behind. Sorry for the positivity about Sheffield - I realise that's often frowned upon on here
smithy266
you obviously did not use the Dronfield surgery I use then, which is superb.
Ghozer
it's not Dronfield or Sheffield, as I know some surgery's that are terrible in Sheffield, can never get through on the phone, have to phone before 9am for certain things, no drop-in etc... yet there are others only 15 mins walk away that are totally the flip-side of the above... I guess it's just pot luck - it's cause they are all privatized...
kay1
You are very lucky, for a routine appointment my Sheffield surgery is 3/6 weeks,my son's Dronfield surgery for routine appointments is 1/3 DAYS, and you can book online.
strangerthe6
You can book appointments and order repeat prescriptions online at Dronfield surgery. A bit unfair of you to compare todays facilities in Sheffield with Dronfield from 3 years ago.
froger
I live in sheffield(jordanthorpe) and getting to see a doctor is very very hard. You have to phone at 8am and if your lucky you may get through at 8.30 am only to be told they have no appointments left. I work in dronfield and the people I work with live there and when they need to see a doctor they get to see one the same day.
sheffscott
Total rubbish,in Dronfield all can be done online and normally can get an appointment the same day, friends in Sheffield are always commenting on how good it is.
spilldig
An acquaintance of ours in Barnsley was telling us last week that he was quoted eight weeks for an appointment. That beats the previous worst, which I thought I had which was four and a half weeks for an appointment.
Flexo
This thread assumes that All GP surgeries in Sheffield are much the same All GP surgeries in Dronfield are much the same But not the same as each other That comparing things today with things 3 years ago is fair It's reality-ignoring rubbish.
