bendix
I need to buy a coat for winter - having lived in Asia for the last 15-20 years i have no coats or jackets - but now I'm here I'm going to need something soon. Is there a shop that specialises in leather jackets or coats in town? Recommendations would be very welcome. Thanks.
Janus
As we are heading to Autumn, the shops will be stocking winter clothing anytime now. I would recommend going to Primart for a warm coat. However, I don`t think you would get a sheepskin coat or leather jacket from there. A shop like Debenhams would stock the latter type.
bungleboy69
Most leather jackets I've had aren't suitable for winter - they very often don't offer much protection against the cold. I'd go to Go Outdoors and have a look at their selection - maybe a waterproof / fleece combination.
chisholm
I'd go for a three in one such as on here: http://www.blacks.co.uk/mens/mens-clothing/jackets-coats/3-in-1-jackets/
Crosser
Timberland, functional, warm and quite expensive, but well made "cold weather" jackets.

If you go to King Street in the City and look at the old CO.OP shop which is on the top right hand corner you will find hundreds of winter coats for sale most of them are slightly worn but in first class condition . lesserthan1
I think this is Sheffield's problem explained in a thread... Someone asks where to buy a leather jacket and they get suggestions to buy a fleece or go to primark. Good luck with getting a prime tenant for the new retail development with that kind of attitude. No wonder town is dead. To the OP: go to meadowhall and have a look in house of fraser- lots of nice classy costs that'll keep you warm. I got a cracking barber jacket last year and is lovely and toasty.
