Imperial units are stupid

same here really metric is easier, but maybe my age i can judge a foot easier by eye than in the equivalent in metric

 

I'm with Phil752 on this. Being old and doddery (according to some) I was brought up on imperial measurements. If someone mentions centimetres I have to try and convert that to feet and inches. I'm (fairly) conversant with litres, because I fill up my car, but then convert to miles per gallon. Mind you, if I wanted to buy some timber, I could get 2x4 (inches) in 1 or 2 metre lengths!

 

The only metrication I approve of is money. Yes I go back to the LSD era, 12 pence to the shilling, twenty shillings to the pound........ 240 pennies in a pound. To say nothing of halfpennies. I won't even mention farthings! Oops, I just did!
