Cameron resigns

Recommended Posts

I sort of agree with his decision, maybe his party would be served better if he stood down. If he gets a ticket to the lords in years to come I'd be disappointed though.

It might be the right decision for the Conservative party, but what about the cost to the tax payer?

How will he manage, his millions and his wife's mega millions, he might have to

get a hand-out.

His current family fortune will be chicken feed compared to his future earnings on the international lecture and after dinner speech circuit.

Good luck to him.

Why does him standing down now cost the tax payer any more than it would cost us if he stood down in 2020, or 2025?

The cost of elections in 2020 and 2025 will be the same, him standing down means extra by-election costs of around £300,000

The taxpayer should be more than compensated by the extra tax paid by David Cameron as a consequence of his new opportunities to earn big money. :)
