ward-46
Hi, does anyone know where I can find any info about a accident that happened on the 21st of October 1899? It seems that forgeman John Lockwood was killed at jessops works. I believe that he was my great grandfather and he had a brother called Albert Henry. Any info will be gratefully received Thanks
beechnut
The Sheffield Daily Telegraph of Monday 16 October 1899 gave this report of the accident. The same newspaper followed this on 21 October with a report of the inquest. The accident evidently happened on 14 October and John Lockwood died on 20 October.
