Hitchcock-ish manner ? They look like mosquitoes but might be midges. Got all windows closed... Dont want the little buggers coming in. Is this common this time of the year? It's very unlikely that they're de Havilland mosquitoes... ... unless you happen to have left the landing lights on? Beechwood_S6 Posted October 3, 2016 Share Posted October 3, 2016 I noticed a lot of parasitoid wasps and zombie caterpillars last week, treated most of them but some had hatched from their eggs, the property next door had over a dozen clusters. DnAuK Posted October 3, 2016 Share Posted October 3, 2016 Not sure about midges but used to get swarms of tiny black flies on the windows at a certain time of year. Had to make sure all the windows were tightly shut as at one point loads got in the house and settled on the fridge freezer. Some even found their way INSIDE my computer monitor! You could see them scuttling around on the screen behind the top cover before they eventually died and left me with a few black smudges on the display.
