neeeeeeeeeek Posted October 4, 2016 Share Posted October 4, 2016 I've got a 7am flight form Stanstead coming up soon, has anyone flown from there recently at that sort of time? Last time I went it only took ten mins from the car park to the bar in the departure lounge but that was on New Years day! Some stuff in the news about massive delays on arrivals today with loads of planes landing at the same time but no info on departure queues. Any info appreciated. francypants Posted October 4, 2016 Share Posted October 4, 2016 The last time I flew from Stansted was in 1970 and at that time there wasn't even a proper departure lounge. Expat owl Posted October 4, 2016 Share Posted October 4, 2016 There are in excess of 25 flights scheduled to depart on most weekdays between 6.30am-7.15am. The queues at the budget airlines will be quite long and from personal experience you should leave a minimum of approx 45mins for check-in and security. Annie Bynnol Posted October 4, 2016 Share Posted October 4, 2016 The layout and queues just for security can be very long and if you trigger the detectors you can easily double the wait as they may put you in another queue.
