NHS walk in service-Can I use this?

Recommended Posts

For around a week now I've had reduced hearing and treated this with some ear drops. This hasn't worked so I phoned my G.P for an appointment only to be told it will be over 2 weeks and even then the time offered is no good due to work commitments.

As an alternative I asked if I could use a walk-in centre and the receptionist wasn't sure and following on from this I discussed this with a few people some of whom think you can use this service for this and others who don't.

Has anyone ever tried getting their ears syringed at a walk in centre and what was the response.

Thanks

Titanic99, you are entitled to use any part of the NHS service you need now. If your GP can't facilitate an appointment for 2 weeks and you feel you need to see a Doctor now, go to the walk in centre. Your doctors may be unsupportive as they are charged the fee.

Go, what is the worst that can happen and what is the worse that could happen by leaving it 2 weeks.
