Crosser
yes , about time for a revolution .but all the honest tax paying citizens better run for their lives No revolution, and no "honest tax paying citizens" Everyone is out for themselves, no social concience no-one cares about anyone else but themselves. That's the way the world now is. So you can only play with the hand you have been dealt... Sometimes it annoys people... but the self-rightious are just as guilty as the rest. That sounds like an excuse for criminality.
taxman
From a professional point of view I'd be interested in her tax returns, with a bit of luck her case would have been referred to HMRC, but I highly doubt it knowing the silo mentality of govt agencies and departments. Crosser
That sounds like an excuse for criminality. I guess it depends on your definition of "criminality" I would put it as... "If you can get away with it, then why not?" How many times do you see people (especially on SF) WHINING (yes WHINING) about how people are doing something a little outside the law, but I'd like to wager that the very same people are less than truthful on their tax returns and those VAT receipts that their accountant submitted were about as true as any Benefit claim. Yes it happens, we all KNOW it happens, only getting caught makes it to the headlines.

I was talking generally, not just about your good self, but you knew that anyway. And what is the point of laws if nobody breaks them? Getting caught is the thing that worries most. taxman
Getting caught is the thing that worries most. Well not much point worrying then seeing as tens of thousands of tax inspectors will be looking for jobs elsewhere in the next 3 years.
