Had Badge Prised off

Recommended Posts

Someone stole my Fiesta badge off the back of the car.

Also had an attempted VW wheel trim theft. They broke it and left it behind :(

Could probably count yourself lucky compare to these people...

When I was a student in Sheffield I had a flat in Neepsend. One day I took my car for a run and heard a nasty knocking from the front end. I pulled over to find one of the front wheels held on by one wheel nut and nuts missing from the other wheels around the car.

One of the site guys at work had that done to him twice, we've since had anti-tamper devices fitted to all the vans.Luckily, like you, he realised before he got very far.

Me and my mates used to collect car badges back in the early 60's but we never touched a parked car. Mostly I think because we'd have been crucified if caught. Instead we took the health and safety (a novelty back then) route and clambered over piles of scrapped cars in the local scrappy.

Advice from the yard owner?

"Scratch yer bloody knees an' I'll tell 'em yer were trespassin'."

Incidentally, I do sympathise with the OP. I'd be absolutely gutted if it happened to me
