mad-dad
How come that is the only car without its reg plate obscured? They probably took it off, waited till the google car had passed, then nipped out and put it back on.
geared
I have my car for sale on Autotrader at the moment and yesterday I received a text from a company called Carplunk. Website is Carplunk.co.uk. They have made an offer (car unseen) of close to the price I'm asking for which firstly seems very unusual from a trader. I have checked their website and there are no reviews from previous customers and also I have searched online for reviews. There are none. Their website also claims to have been featured by several national newspapers including the Guardian and the Daily Express. I have searched their websites but can't find any reference to this company. I wonder if anyone on this site has heard of or even dealt with this company? Thanks in anticipation of anyone's help. They'll make a decent offer online, then when you take the car to them they will make every stupid excuse to knock the price down and end up offering you a tiny percent of what you want. Bait and switch, and illegal.
Eddie_shef
A Nissan 300 ZX; looks like an imported version. Thank you - couldn't quite place it! ---------- Post added 13-10-2016 at 03:27 ---------- They probably took it off, waited till the google car had passed, then nipped out and put it back on. Weirdly enough, the plate is obscured from a side angle, but not when the camera is dead straight on!
Farrington89
Yes I have!! Asked them to give me a price online, happy with the offer and accepted. It asked for a £50 deposit to secure a booking for them to view the car and make sure I was home, I was unsure about this so emailed to find out more. It seemed legit from the emails and I paid the deposit. Appointment cam two days later no one turned up. Sent a email and they said they would speak to booking department. Since that I have sent many emails and nothing back at all. THIS IS A SCAM FOR SURE!! Now the website is close and I have reported them to the police and my bank, Have to wait till the 19th to get my £50 back. Reporting to watchdog also, ladies name registered against company online! It's shocking what people do to make money out of hard working people! Thought it would be quick and easy oh no, sell the old fashioned way and stay away from these modern ways! Anyone else been scammed by this carplunk???????? Love to find out how many have to feed this to get police Thanks Adam

Love to find out how many have to feed this to get police Thanks Adam whilst it is indeed shocking what people do to make(take) money from hard working people its equally shocking how readily they are parted with it! I think the claim to have sold twenty two thousand plus cars without a single buyer/seller review may have made me keep my money in my pocket.Ifyou are going to sell a car using this method then surely there are a few of these firms already established that would have been a safer option.
