'Locker Room Banter'

Recommended Posts

Someones leaping to conclusions here.

So, back on topic, it's coming out that it wasn't just "locker room banter" he is alleged by quite a few people now to have actually sexually assaulted them.

Since you seem to have entirely missed the point about expecting my friends to punch me if I said I'd sexually assaulted someone, I'll try to say it more plainly. It's not 'lads banter' that anyone I know would find acceptable. They would be horrified (as would I). It's not a joke, it's not banter, it's not in the slightest amusing and if it were said seriously I would expect a response on an appropriate level to the seriousness of what had just been claimed (perhaps a more mature response would be to report it to the police, since you seem so focussed on the 'punch in the gob' and how this is worse than sexual assault).

If any of the people you know have lewd thoughts about groping someone they are unlikely to voice those thoughts because the threat of violence from you will mean they don't express thoughts and opinions they know you don't like.

A punch to the gob can kill, an uninvited kiss and grope doesn't kill, I wouldn't want my husband to risk being injured or killed or risk killing someone just because someone touched and kissed me. There have even been times in my past when I reciprocated after an uninvited touch and kiss, it depends on whom is doing the touching and kissing, other times I have just pushed them away.

Oh, now it's a threat of violence "from me", rather than "too me", which is the way I expressed it.

You're going out of your way to make something from a throwaway statement. Are you particularly keen to deflect the conversation from the sexual assault of Donald Trump or something?

I notice now that several people have come forward to claim that he did actually assault them. So it wasn't just "bantz" was it.

You're remarkably relaxed about sexual assault, but you think some banter about common assault towards myself is worth making a big deal about.

You claimed all the other men would punch them in the gob, that would include you if you are a man.

Donald trump boasted in a crude way about his sexual advances towards women, several women have now come forward and claimed he made sexual advances towards them, might be true or it might not be true, but in each case it appears that he backed off when they rejected him.

So yes I am more relaxed about men that make unsolicited sexual advances but back off when they are rejected, than men that go round punching people in the gob.

Donald Trump is a disgusting man IMO, and should not be president. But is his poor character, displayed in these occurences, worse than Hilary Clinton's display of dishonesty and culpability in wiping 30,000 possibly incriminating emails?

I'm not taking sides - I don't like either of them, but I'm surprised Hilary didn't arouse equally vehement public condemnation for an equally despicable act of betrayal.

You are aware Hilary was investigated by the FBI right?

Ah yes, but that was just forum banter.

No, stop trying to downplay it and trivialise it.

He boasted about sexual assault.

And now multiple women have come forwards and said that yes he did assault them.

So yes I am more relaxed about men that make unsolicited sexual advances but back off when they are rejected, than men that go round punching people in the gob.

And as you try to downplay the sexual assault claims, you also exaggerate the forum banter. It's gone from punching a friend who claims to have committed sexual assault, to "going around punching people".

And you are still trying to distract everyone from Trumps sexual assault by going on about a throw away bit of forum banter from me. Looks like you have an agenda.

So you did the same as DT and exaggerated for affect.

I've listened to the tape and I didn't hear him boast about sexual assault, its an exaggeration on your part.

So your comments were forum banter and throwaway comments but everything DT says in private should be taken seriously and literally, in your eyes it couldn't possibly be banter and over exaggeration on his part.

He grabs women by their "pussy" is what he claimed. How can that not be sexual assault?

He wasn't in private, he was on video in an interview.

As I thought, you had an agenda, to try to excuse someone who has boasted about sexual assault.

Trump: I moved on her, actually. You know, she was down on Palm Beach. I moved on her, and I failed. I’ll admit it.

Unknown: Whoa.

Trump: I did try and <removed> her. She was married.

Unknown: That’s huge news there.

Trump: No, no, Nancy. No, this was [unintelligible] — and I moved on her very heavily. In fact, I took her out furniture shopping.

She wanted to get some furniture. I said, “I’ll show you where they have some nice furniture.” I took her out furniture I moved on her like a b****. But I couldn’t get there. And she was married. Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony t*** and everything. She’s totally changed her look.

Billy Bush: Sheesh, your girl’s hot as <removed>. In the purple.

Trump: Whoa! Whoa!

Bush: Yes! The Donald has scored. Whoa, my man!

(Crosstalk)

Trump: Look at you, you are a <removed>

(Crosstalk. Video distortion)

Trump: All right, you and I will walk out.

(Pause)

Trump: Maybe it’s a different one.

Bush: It better not be the publicist. No, it’s, it’s her, it’s —

Trump: Yeah, that’s her. With the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.

Bush: Whatever you want.

Trump: Grab ’em by the <removed>. You can do anything.

Bush: Uh, yeah, those legs, all I can see is the legs.

Trump: Oh, it looks good.

Bush: Come on shorty.

Trump: Ooh, nice legs, huh?

Bush: Oof, get out of the way, honey. Oh, that’s good legs. Go ahead.

Trump: It’s always good if you don’t fall out of the bus. Like Ford, Gerald Ford, remember?

Bush: Down below, pull the handle.

Trump: Hello, how are you? Hi!

Arianne Zucker: Hi, Mr. Trump. How are you? Pleasure to meet you.

Trump: Nice seeing you. Terrific, terrific. You know Billy Bush?

Bush: Hello, nice to see you. How you doing, Arianne?

Zucker: Doing very well, thank you. Are you ready to be a soap star?

Trump: We’re ready, let’s go. Make me a soap star.

Bush: How about a little hug for the Donald? He just got off the bus.

Zucker: Would you like a little hug, darling?

Trump: Okay, absolutely. Melania said this was okay.

Bush: How about a little hug for the Bushy? I just got off the bus.

Zucker: Bushy, Bushy.

Bush: Here we go. Excellent. Well, you’ve got a nice co-star here.

Zucker: Yes, absolutely.

Trump: Good. After you.

(Break in video)

Trump: Come on, Billy, don’t be shy.

Bush: Soon as a beautiful woman shows up, he just, he takes off. This always happens.

Trump: Get over here, Billy.

Zucker: I’m sorry, come here.

Bush: Let the little guy in here, come on.

Zucker: Yeah, let the little guy in. How you feel now? Better? I should actually be in the middle.

Bush: It’s hard to walk next to a guy like this.

Zucker: Here, wait, hold on.

Bush: Yeah, you get in the middle, there we go.

Trump: Good, that’s better.

Zucker: This is much better. This is -

Trump: That’s better.

Bush: Now, if you had to choose honestly between one of us. Me or the Donald?

Trump: I don’t know, that’s tough competition.

Zucker: That’s some pressure right there.

Bush: Seriously, if you had — if you had to take one of us as a date.

Zucker: I have to take the Fifth on that one.

Bush: Really?

Zucker: Yup - I’ll take both.

Trump: Which way?

Zucker: Make a right. Here we go. (inaudible)

Bush: Here he goes. I’m gonna leave you here.

Trump: Okay

Bush: Give me my microphone.

Trump: Okay. Oh, you’re finished?

Bush: You’re my man, yeah.

Trump: Oh, good.

Bush: I’m gonna go do our show.

Zucker: Oh, you wanna reset? Okay.

And if half a dozen people now come forward and claim you punched them we should automatically believe them because you already admitted to being violent.

He made a move and was rejected, he wanted to have sex with her but she rejected him, wanting sex with someone and backing off when you are rejected isn't sexual assault, nor is bragging about it in a crude way.

"they let you do it" implies consent, if someone knocks on my door and I let them in, they enter my house with consent, if I reject them and tell them to get lost, they break the law if they then force their way in, if they leave they have done nothing wrong.

Continuing your attempt to distract from Trumps sexual assault claims I see. Apologist.

A very bizarre claim btw that you can grab someone by the genitals and it's not assault if they don't object. Perhaps in your world, but not in mine.
