999tigger
You do right. Remember a lot of what used to be building socieies are now banks. You can switch in 7 days. The bank/bs you are switching to takes care of everything. Heres MS expert list of best bank accounts. http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/compare-best-bank-accounts Note a lot of BS are actually banks these days so check they are still a BS. http://www.buildingsociety.com/current.shtml Nationwide is the biggest. If you find someone who you know who already has a NW account and they recommend you, then you get £100 each. Best bank account for customer service is First Direct Bank, but you need to be earning min amounts.

Kylelindon99
I think poor service is a common trait these days when dealing with any call center based service
Dardandec
Why do you need to close the account anyway? I'd have just withdrawn any funds and left it dormant.
