Anna B
'Russia Today' TV channel, which broadcasts in English in Britain, has been shut down and Nat West bank has closed its British bank accounts. Also closed down with bank accounts frozen, according to the Russian Embassy, are Russian/English news outlets Rossiya Segodnya, Sputnik and VGTRK. It has caused a diplomatic row, with the Russians said to be furious, and calling it 'an outrage.' One Moscow based politician even called for the BBC's bank accounts in Russia to be 'arrested' as a reprisal. Julian Assange, founder of Wikileaks, has also had his ability to broadcast over the internet stopped, and a video by a female Russian journalist working in Aleppo, Syria, has been taken down. So much for freedom of speech, and doing your own research.... 'He who controls the media controls the minds of the masses'

Where will you be able to view anti-West conspiracy rubbish such as The Truthseeker now? And poor Jeremy Corbyn. He was on that a lot wasn't he? Or was that Iranian TV? Btw, your final quote is a mixture of two separate quotes, one by Malcolm X and one by Jim Morrison. Not like you to screw up a quote is it? Vlad's tab was beginning to get a bit loud, what with Georgia, Crimea, Ukraine, Syria, Litvinenko here, the Baltic posturing and Western Europe flyby's, and more I've forgotten. It has caused a diplomatic row, with the Russians said to be furious, and calling it 'an outrage.'Good. I'm hoping that Vlad is enjoying this little taste of his own medicine. I can just picture him having a hissy fit like Bruno Ganz in Downfall

And for any Fox News and Daily Express one might raise as a counter-argument, I'll quote umpteen Washington Post, Channel 4 News, Le Monde <etc.> Ultimately...we're in the West, and Putin has proven himself to pushing back against the West through subversion, manipulation, agitation and aggression right up to land-grabbing, rather than diplomacy and collaboration, time and again. That he may be doing it all 'for the good of the Russian people' or not is neither here nor there. There's nothing but himself and his apparatchiks to put an end to the proxy and not-so-proxy warmongering, show the US' and China's own proxy and not-so-proxy warmongering for what they are, and earn his good guy stripes with everyone and their dog the planet over. geared
RT is a great chanel to watch, especially if thats the sorta stuff that gets broadcast in Russia. It's so obviously one sided and blinkered it's comical. I love to watch it when the USA and Russia are having a spat, the love to gloss over the obvious faults in Russia's argument and attempt to dissect American rhetoric, usually picking up on some ridiculous points.
