Guest sibon
never mind quoting articles , what is YOUR answer to why they are not claiming asylum in the first safe country , which by international law they are supposed to do You prefer my opinion to the actual facts? Slightly odd, don't you think. Your opinion is incorrect by the way. There is no requirement to claim asylum in the first safe country. Anyone can claim asylum anywhere. Santo
never mind quoting articles , what is YOUR answer to why they are not claiming asylum in the first safe country , which by international law they are supposed to do Simple. Many have family here. The French aren't very nice to them and many of the aid workers in the jungle are actually British so they see Brits as being good eggs unlike the local fascist youths that attack them and the French police that tear gas them. Santo
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dublin_Regulation That's why they don't apply for asylum in France. They'd rather apply in the UK.
