Guest sibon
That's why they don't apply for asylum in France. They'd rather apply in the UK. It isn't a legal requirement anyway, just a bit of Eurowaffle. And, as far as I know it is suspended. Still, it is nice to see the Brexiters invoking an EU rule when it suits them. hackey lad
Simple. Many have family here. The French aren't very nice to them and many of the aid workers in the jungle are actually British so they see Brits as being good eggs unlike the local fascist youths that attack them and the French police that tear gas them. where did they land before they made their way to France ?. are Italians , Greeks , Germans and everyone else not very nice as well ? RonJeremy
Nope. I've read the article. Still can't see what's wrong with Italy. Or France. Or Spain.
Santo
where did they land before they made their way to France ?. are Italians , Greeks , Germans and everyone else not very nice as well ? Do you think every migrant in Europe is in Calais? You asked why they want to come to the UK. This thread is about those in Calais. I answered. ---------- Post added 24-10-2016 at 21:51 ---------- Nope. I've read the article. Still can't see what's wrong with Italy. Or France. Or Spain. Thousands have claimed asylum elsewhere in Europe.

Guest sibon
Nope. I've read the article. Still can't see what's wrong with Italy. Or France. Or Spain. Me neither. But I also think that we should take our share of responsibility. If you look properly at that article, it is pretty clear that we could do more. So could Denmark for that matter. What's wrong with France? Well apart from the immigrant camps, they pretty unpleasant.
