Does anyone know what would happen if both Clinton and Trump got the same amount of votes what we would call an ' hung' vote? I think this presidential race going to be interesting to watch.

they would hug and job share

it's in the poll in the 'dead heat' option in the middle. There's 538. In 2000, Bush got 271, and Gore got 267. Even though more people, in the United States voted for Gore than they did Bush, Bush still won under the rules.

it could have been a little bit different, and both of them could have got 269 and tied on the 538. In which case it would have gone to the House of Representatives whose majority vote would have decided the 2000 election.

This poll is confusing and doesn't provide a clear winner. I think it should be a simple binary choice so people can see who is more popular, Trump or Clinton.

that's not the way American people decide who is going to be their President. And it's not the way that British people decide who is going to be their Prime Minister either.

go to France, become French, and vote in France, if you want to do it like that.

They don't decide elections like this either with ten options for two choices.

We want to know who is more popular so we can infer if they rigged the vote.

I agree with rinzwind. Why not have a poll simply asking who is going to be the next President? Then the answer would be Clinton.

There is a poll like that here on Sheffield Forum.
