tinfoilhat
That is a great idea ! In fact, why not make it 70%?? That'll give Ze Germanese Binwagenmakers an advantage, won't it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but they're still built in Attercliffe, aren't they. The germanese are quite prepared to back their leader in telling us to shove it if Owen Patersons trip to Berlin is anything to go by. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-38707997

The EU is the second largest economy in the world. Even if we leave it is still by far the second largest economy. Of the other big economies for Japan the trade with the EU is 13% of total exports. The UK does not even register as one of the top 10 recipients of Chinese exports. Time for the Brexiters to get real. The EU, the second biggest economy in the world, is our most important trading partner and the whole Brexit strategy is predicated on provoking a political and economic battle with it. It's madness. apelike
There seems to be a trend here for remain voters to be classed as being somehow dishonest. To put the record straight this is shows Brexit leaders repeatedly stating we wouldn't leave the single market: http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/open-britain-video-single-market-nigel-farage-anna-soubry_uk_582ce0a0e4b09025ba310fce Is that not the same video as linked to before that was exposed by the BBC as a lie? http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2016/11/watch-james-mcgrorys-car-crash-interview-sunday-politics/ It was also pointed out earlier by unbeliever in post 2413 but somehow ignored. ---------- Post added 22-01-2017 at 01:49 ---------- Time for the Brexiters to get real. I assume (as I did with him) that you don't know it's a pack of lies as I don't think you would post it if you did. Here's the BBC exposing it as a pack of lies. He wouldn't have won any concessions, but he would've spewed a few vile insults at the Eurocrats. Which would've cheered up the Brexiters no end

Sorry buddy they said it It's all on record. They may have changed their minds but....... ---------- Post added 22-01-2017 at 11:00 ---------- How much of this trade do you realistically expect to lose in the "worst" (WTO MFN) case? Nobody knows. You have to weigh the imaginary risk of staying in (predictions portrayed as cold hard fact by leave.eu: http://leave.eu/en/the-facts ) against the imaginary benefits of a hard Brexit. Don't pretend you know because you don't. You have a wishlist and it's very possible you'll get none of what you want.
unbeliever
Sorry buddy they said it It's all on record. They may have changed their minds but....... You're going to want to take a moment and look again at the Andrew Neil interview I linked to. The fact that these Open Britain clips are years old is only one of the serious flaws in Open Britains case. For example they have also been cut and placed out of context so as to change their meaning. Anyway a clip from several years ago cannot plausibly be said to be part of the context in which the people voted in the referendum. I know that you feel strongly but you have a deserved reputation for intellectual honesty on this forum.....
