Jacktari
Many on the emphatic leave side will tell you that we're still not going to leave even now because of an establishment conspiracy. I think you're both wrong. Democracy is not toothless. Yes it is. Don't think for one minute they ever pay any attention to what you think or expect. The people didn't want the wholesale selling off of all this country's industry and assets, but they did it all the same. And left four million jobless. It is just a convenience for them that the vote went their way this time.
unbeliever
Over 80% want to leave. Some are intimidated into supporting remaining. 52% of those who expressed a view voted to leave. The politicians and establishment really want us to stay but we're leaving. See the power of democracy in all its glory.

It has never been explained, as every story they tell is not credible. It is all nonsense, dreamed up in some seemingly fevered imagination. It is all nonsense, dreamed up in some seemingly fevered imagination. I've explained in great detail on this forum why I want to leave. Why do you want to be part of the collective European government?
The Joker
See the power of democracy in all its glory. I saw it alright. A venomous, spiteful campaign with lies, half-truths, hatred and murder. I certainly wouldn't call it glorious. And I wouldn't call it an advert for democracy.
unbeliever
That's your perspective and your entitled to it. But it is undeniable that the people have overruled the government consensus at every level for EU membership. Like it or not, that is democracy. That article mentions.... £80bn in shared liabilities Perhaps £20bh in shared assets So one less the other = perhaps £60bn liabilities. I'm sure the Uk negotiators will try the "let's call it even and walk away" line!

I'm sure the Uk negotiators will try the "let's call it even and walk away" line! The UK arent stupid. they will obviously claim their share of assets. Its also obvious that lia bilities will far exceed those assets. Its obvious the EU will not and the UK wont expect just to say lets walk away when billions will be at stake.
