The Consequences of Brexit (part 2)

Recommended Posts

Blows 'Project Fear' from the Daily Right Wing Rags and Bozo about the EU wanting to punish the UK out of the water.......who'd have thought it,still,it won't stop their spite towards the EU I suspect.

Okay.

It does rather undermine the idea that the EU will resist a good trade agreement with the UK.

Myself I've more seen this argument coming from the remain side.

Who's Bozo? Is it Boris Johnson? I thought he was BoJo. If so when did he say we should expect punishment.

Also which are the "right wing rags"? Is it the DM, because I don't read it so I wouldn't know.

It comes right from the top of the UK government,as I already showed you with the Theresa May article, closely followed by Bozo,or Bojo if you like with his 'punishment beatings',the right wing rags are the Telegraph,Mail and Express, who aren't going to give up their EU scapegoat easily after using it for more than a decade now.

Okay, but it was put about by the remain side (of which May was a part) months ago.

I suspect that the government are playing the expectations game now. If they do well in the negotiations after playing down their chances then they look very clever. It's the Scotty effect.

Do you have anything to contribute other than various emphatic assertions that non-socialists are evil.

What more is there to contribute?

My country has been sold out to fascists.

You cant rant and rave and produce all the figures you wish.

But it does not alter the fact.

brexiters are traitors.

They are out to destroy our country.

This is one of those "alternative facts" I've been hearing about isn't it.

You know where Fascist is a type of capitalist rather than a type of socialist as all of written history would suggest.

And "figures" or reality don't define "fact", which is instead defined by a lot of shouting and waving writing around on cardboard, basically whoever comes up with the most emphatic language and projects the most rage.

You carry on "sticking it to the man" my friend. I'm sure it must very cathartic.

You seem to have the idea that I am a 'socialist' , whatever that means in your fevered imagination.

I am a patriotic Englishman, and find it disgusting what has been done to my country in recent years.

No decent Englishman can hold his head up abroad these days, after what has been done to this country's dignity.

Desertion and creeping to bullies is not the way of an Englishman.

Not the way i was brought up anyway.

No.

I'm not an politician. I'm a lambda citizen.

If your question was a bait, then find someone else to bait.

If your question wasn't a bait, sorry I can't help.

Yes, I did believe that you were a citizen and not a politician. If you're puzzled as to why I choose you for this question, it's simply because you come across as someone who is intelligent, knows about economics, a proponent for being in the EU, and a regular (enthusiastic?) contributor to this thread.

In the light of this it surprises and disappoints me to discover that you have no hopes or ideas on where the EU project might go, or perhaps what it could look like in say 20 years time.

Anyone else?

No they aren't. Apart from possibly a few self-serving berks (Nigel and Boris) at the top, pretty much everyone else who voted the leave the EU did so because they believe it's the right thing for our country. Just because someone doesn't agree with my and your picture of what success for our country means doesn't mean they are somehow evil, traitors or idiots.

Even if someone voted for Brexit because they are racist, they STILL believe that they are voting for something that will make the UK better. No-one is going to actively vote for something they believe will ruin the country, people just don't do that. We may look at the state of the UK and think it's ruined now, but for some they look at it and are happy.

I gave a fair and honest answer a few posts back.

Surrender is not the way forward.

You can admit defeat if you want.

I never will.

No Surrender.

Addition,

The more I read your post, the less I believe it.

Because people believe that racism is right, you seem to say, then we must accept their opinion?

Because some people disagree with me, then I must accept their opinion?

That is totally and utterly wrong.

if people are racist or disagree with me, then they must be reeducated until they think clearly.

Because at present you are being overwhelmed by articulate fascists does not mean fascism is correct.

The leaders of the fascist are always articulate intelligent men.

Mussolini, Hitler etc were all that, but it does not make them good men, or heroes to be followed.
