Emmabroooksy
Hello everyone! We're moving house in a month and want to get started packing, but it would cost us £80 to buy some cardboard boxes!! Does anybody know of somewhere cheap or even free where we could ask nicely? Thanks! Emma x

mikeG
Anyone who works in distribution/packing can get hold of them. The cashier in my local bookies had one such customer who got me 100 for nothing.
999tigger
some supermarkets, but you have to ask as they collapse them quite quickly. The boxes arent very strong either. Your other choices are any of the self storage places or ebay. Yes they can be a tad expensive, but they do have the advantage of being strong and reusable. As well as the boxes they come in guaranteed to be at least 500mm square, you'll have 'em next day!
medusa
Moving boxes also go round repeatedly on Freegle, Freecycle and places like Facebook selling pages. The same boxes are broken down, given to someone else, rinsed and repeated until they fall to pieces and are gradually replaced with new ones.
