El Cid
Sorry it appeares Iv logged into the wrong site I was looking for Sheffield Forum but logged into Sheffield Tory Forum. The Media and the Conservatives have done really well to get the story about people that sponge off the state. I understand we have low unemployment at the moment, historically low anyway. El Cid
Benefits should only be available to the elderly, disabled and a max of 6 months dole. The state should help people that lose their job, for 6 months, and then the help should be tapered off. But its all been made very complicated. ---------- Post added 07-11-2016 at 17:56 ---------- So its clear cut as that is it right . The Corbyn news team that spin the news are part timers compared to Alastair Campbell.
999tigger
The stigma plan is a good old Sheffield forum favourite. Sure to work. ---------- Post added 07-11-2016 at 18:15 ---------- The cap most certainly does not include DLA or PIP. Where are you getting your information? https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/the-benefit-cap/the-benefit-cap-and-housing-benefit/the-benefit-cap-and-housing-benefit-who-is-exempt/ Sorry my error. poppet2
The cap in London is higher, at £23,000, to take into account the higher living costs there. Yes, £204 pw for a one room bedsit/studio room with cooker and shower in the room.
geared
2 kids, why? Just because the person in question had 3 kids, then decided to get one more on the way anyway. I assume if your budget is a tight balance than any thought of another child is not a decision to take lightly???
Robin-H
Yes, £204 pw for a one room bedsit/studio room with cooker and shower in the room. I think it depends somewhat on where in London you look.. I lived in a very nice flat in Camberwell (2 bedrooms) for £150 a week (each).
