phil752
Republican tax cuts for the low earners. I'll be pleasantly surprised if that happens. He also wants to repeal the healthcare act doesn't he? Leaving millions without access to meaningful health services. But Obama care is not affordable and is only accessible to about 20% people
unbeliever
Do you think that labour are authoritarian ... Yes. Far more so than the Conservatives. There are libertarians within the Conservatives. Lots of them. I cite as evidence the ID card scheme and the use of anti-terrorism legislation to silence their critics. ... (actually I think that they are nearly as authoritarian as the conservatives)? Are they pursuing fascist or nazi agenda's? Not yet.
the_bloke
He also wants to repeal the healthcare act doesn't he? Leaving millions without access to meaningful health services. The focus has been on the sensational aspect of the policy again. That's step 1 of his 7 steps to provide health services, the other six don't get mentioned in the press. I'm not an American so I couldn't say where the other six steps fit into replacing Obamacare, but the plans are there to replace it with something else. Again though, the focus is 'scrapping healthcare' not 'replacing healthcare'. If this was Corbyn's policies that were ignored in the press like this, the dancing bananas would be having a field day. unbeliever
Maybe if they spent a bit less on bombs... They spend 3.5% of GDP on national defence and 17.2% on healthcare. Damn it's those pesky facts again.
Penistone999
The two worst democratic political decisions we're likely to see this century. I can see why they'd be considered together. Really , id say these are the best two decisions voters in this country and the US have ever made.
Randy
Maybe if they spent a bit less on bombs... One of the reasons Trump will make a good president is that unlike Obama and the Clintons he's not interested in starting illegal wars in other countries. Cyclone
Really , id say these are the best two decisions voters in this country and the US have ever made. The pleasure I take in saying "I told you so" will be vastly outweighed by the misery these idiotic decisions will have created.
Randy
Disengagement with world affairs is not a good strategy for peace. Yes, because invading Iraq and Afghanistan and bombing Syria has really made the world a safer place hasn't it?
