Asaw
Do the MP's that vote to block the Article 50 vote against the publics wish on Brexit think they will get in at the next election?

El Cid
Do the MP's that vote to block the Article 50 vote against the publics wish on Brexit think they will get in at the next election? What does "Brexit" mean? "Article 50 would proceed but only if there is a referendum on the terms of the deal", then people would know what they voted for, they did not vote for the Tories version of "Brexit". Justin Smith
What does "Brexit" mean? "Article 50 would proceed but only if there is a referendum on the terms of the deal", then people would know what they voted for, they did not vote for the Tories version of "Brexit". Exactly. I don`t think any MPs are seeking to reverse "the will of the voters" (though there are many with deep misgivings about the Leave campaign and it was a close election......), they`re saying nobody actually knows what sort of "Brexit" the public voted for. The hardline Brexiteers are being the most undemocratic of all by arrogantly (and incorrectly) saying they know, and, by pure chance, it`s what they want. All the MPs are saying is the public should be given a chance to decide what type of Brexit there will be, or even if they still want it when it becomes clear what it actually means. How can that be "undemocratic". How can having a vote be "undemocratic", that`s a contradiction in terms.
whiteowl
Had this discussion last night in the pub. Not all constituencies voted for Brexit so it might actually help some MP gain votes by voting against. We thought that if another referendum like this one came along in the future, the votes should be collated in constituencies and then totalled. Then if there was an MP vote following it, they could vote for the wishes of their constituents, as they are elected to.
harvey19
How many votes would you have until everyone was in agreement ? It is up to the government to negotiate the best deal.
Detetcive
Imagine that the government negotiated a deal that saw the UK continue to accept free movement of labour to and from the EU. How many brexiteers would accept that?

harvey19
Would Brexiters call for another vote or think the government had got the best deal possible ? Will Remainers agree they were wrong if the government get a very good deal for the country ? ---------- Post added 12-11-2016 at 10:34 ---------- The best deal according to the Tories, or Parliament? The population of our country.
