lightfair
Hello; this is lightfair from escrow-fraud.com (yes, another freshly registered user). "RomTel Trading Corporation" is a scam, and the lates one in a long line (all of them documented over at escrow-fraud.com and aa419.org). It's a classic "fake escrow" scam, as described here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bogus_escrow Now, the modus operadi of this particular site is as follows: The scammer(s) set up a number of sites that look like forums (but are in reality just single sites without any forum database behind it); those sites then "sing the praise" for the fake site. Pretty much as the_bloke described it. Those sites are actually modeled after existing sites and some people have mistaken those fake endorsements for the real thing. Examples. Fake: http://www.coffeeshopforums.co.uk/forum_php/displaytopics/coffee_lounge/general_discussions/t=7831/7834401-CF.html Real: http://coffeeforums.co.uk/forum.php Fake: http://www.the75andzt-club.co.uk/forumdisplayphp/topics/club_classifieds/items_wanted/threads/p=94k31w4.html Real: http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/ (You'll all notice the additional "-" in the URL?) Example of a discussion about a previous site (yes, that's the same scammer): http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=245389 And yes: The two accounts recommending that service in this thread are operated by the scammer. (Since I'm freshly registered I can't make the links clickable; perhaps a mod can?)
