Penistone999
There's probably been a job raised to inspect the fence, 2 day wait obviously.. Then they will do the standard risk assessment :hihi:
Harrystottle
It's taken Amey two days so far just to replace a kerb stone on my road. So far, they've dug the old one up and put an orange plastic fence round the hole. The fence has since fallen over. Sorry, but this really made me laugh! Bargepole23
More likely that the civil engineering in this country is just bad. What does that even mean?
biotechpete
What does that even mean? We have a history of underpaying civil engineers. All of the civil engineers I have met in the UK have been European; Greek, Spanish, Portuguese.
spilldig
I have noticed the Japanese don't whine and complain about anything, just get on with it. I remember one interview after the disaster that was the tsunami when a civil engineer said, a few weeks and it should all be running o'k.

Bottletop
It was impressive but they have a big problem in Japan with sink holes so they do have a lot of experience, However been two weeks and counting in Coalaston Where is the sink hole in Coal Aston? I live around there but haven't heard of anything...
