stpetre
Yes, I missed that typo. It was indeed the Blue Ball, which most locals called the Ball. I got the wrong vowel in there lol Hope I wasn't being pedantic Mr.T , I was thinking if I had the right pub !
TORONTONY
Hope I wasn't being pedantic Mr.T , I was thinking if I had the right pub ! No problem, my proof reading left a lot to be desired on that post. I guess my excuse was that I frequented a lot of Bell's and a lot of Balls in my younger days, in and around Sheffield. Yes Mr.T there were even two 'Bell's' in the town, Fitzalan Square and High Street, a few 'Ball's, Golden and otherwise and 'Bulls'. Wicker area (nudge nudge !) Anna B
Maybe people can't afford to go out as much these days. I know a lot of pubs are struggling to survive especially out in the sticks. Pubs are closing at a phenomenal rate.
