We use to have Lhasa's and you had to periodically pluck ear hair to stop irritation and ear infections. With one of my Labs he has build up in his ears due to allergies. After going to the vets and finding the cause I just get ear meds online . As long as I keep an eye on it he's fine. teeny Posted November 30, 2016 Share Posted November 30, 2016 We recently have taken on a ladies dog with a long term ear problem due to it being left without treatment has become chronic , hes had to have 2 ear operations and is on treatment still . So please put your pets needs first , go to the vets , when you take animals on you commit yourself to their up keep , providing what they need , after all if it were you you would head off to the dr rather than be uncomfortable.
