kaytie
Filled up at the petrol station on Northfield Road, Crookes and then decided to check my tyre pressures only to find use of the machine had been increased from (always a bit pricey) 50p to £1 a go!!! Last time I visit there when if you buy £15 of petrol at Morrisons using the airline is free! Well worth the trip down the hill now!

I noticed the sign on the payment desk the other day. £1 is a bit pricey! Saying that, you're better off buying an air compressor and keep it in the boot - especially if you drive a lot. Mine has lights on it as well which is also useful.

Then they need power, servicing and maintenance.
ANGELFIRE1
I'd bet those machines cost a few grand. Then they need power, servicing and maintenance. If you fill up and spend say £40, surely the air ought to be free. But if you nip in just for "free" air, then may be a 50p charge would be ok, at a £1 it's a bit over the top. Angel1. But there are so few stations now, that it wouldn't probably encourage more customers. If you fill up and spend say £40, surely the air ought to be free. I think it's still an independent, so probably recouping the costs. I stopped using their hoover though as the end was bust for ages.

I guess the electricity to run it is free, and it will never need maintenance. Why don't you ask to use other machinery for free as well, perhaps an entire car? ---------- Post added 29-11-2016 at 22:00 ---------- If you fill up and spend say £40, surely the air ought to be free.
