Gamston
Has farage ever been elected as an MP? i dont think he has You are correct, he's never been elected as a MP and I think he has stood seven times. Only person I can think of who might have had more attempts was Lord Sutch.

pretty_big
Considering UKIP makes up than less than 5% of the elected Local Councillors clearly its not very much. Bear in mind that frog face farage is all busy brown nosing the curious orange, they have still failed to get anything above 1 MP, their membership is less than 33,000 in total and declining AND the fact that their sole party agenda is removed following their referendum, hopefully their demise will be swift. Don't bet your bottom euro on it
ANGELFIRE1
Hiya Penny, you alright flower The LibDums have still got seven MPs more than the kippers. Very very true. But here is the rub, at the last election LibDems got 7.9% of the vote and 8 Members of Parliament. While UKip got 12.6% of the vote and 1 Member of Parliament. Not overly democratic is it. Angel1. ANGELFIRE1
maybe it's the quality of your candidates that's the problem ? I hope you are just having a laugh. Or can't you see the problem here. 7.9% = 8 MP's. V 12.6% = 1 MP. It is so ridiculous You could not make it up. If the UKip candidates had been God, Jesus, Mary, Moses and the three wise men they still would have not been elected. Angel1

Angel1 Some are blinded by their disgust for UKIP they can't see we need a fairer system like PR. Greens suffered badly from it too
