sweetdexter
I was also in Delius the others were Rhodes Red, Frobisher Green ,Wilberforce yellow. When the school first opened the teachers were instrumental in choosing the Houses. All the houses were named after famous Yorkshire men Delius the Composer (even though his father was German )Wilfred Rhodes the Cricketer William Wilberforce who helped abolish slavery and Sir Martin Frobisher the explorer and navigator Mr Ibbotson the music teacher was the house master of Delius. Mr Shaw the house master of Rhodes was an avid cricket fan. I do not remember who the other two house masters were. Any 51-54 pupils out there remember
