top4718
Derbies are tough games regardless of league position, we've had two in a week with a raft of injuries and got 6 points, the talk of we must improve on performances like that are ridiculous we don't play local derbies every week. Been much much better and lost, that's football.
owl.66
Well if i'm going to be "tit-for-tat" so to speak, I suppose that I am going to have to repeat what has been said about us over the last few weeks. "You struggled to beat bottom of the league opposition and only scraped a win due to a last minute penalty"....... Truth be said it is a vital three points that you need to be picking up if you stand any chance of promotion, regardless of how they came about. Listening to the game.....Well you have to admit that it could have been better couldn't it?...Far from prolific and a hell of a lot of work to be done between now and the end of the season if you are to finish a top 6 team because you won't scrape points week in week out in a similar style. In summary.....A bit three points, could and should have been better and more convincing however you picked up the points. Back to the drawing board and a great deal of work to be done however you are still very much in contention at the minute. A struggle it was, Rotherham are an embarrassment to football, time wasting, non commitment to winning & they got what was deserving nothing. Relegation fodder hopefully. Guest sibon
What an appaling performance .... from Rotherham. They were appaling, dirty, timewasting and unimaginative. Add an ego-centric ref to the mix and you get a pretty uninspiring game. They got what they deserved in the end, sawn off by a soft penalty in injury time. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch. top4718
That really bitter Rotherham fan on PorG just after Carlos :hihi: A side that came to Hillsborough determined to use any tactics not to lose, thankfully the penalty undid them, awful game - 3 more points. He'll be mourning about the fiver he lost, should have saved it and gone to see the blades when he'd collected enough.
ALAN 58
Millers could have gone away with all three points, don,t know why the goal was disallowed,They certainly came to do a job on us. We kept at it and another late goal gave us what we deserved, it,s been a good week for us winning two derby games. Not good to watch although the referee played his part in that, but we,ll settle for what we got and moving up the table.

Exactly Alan, I thought before the game that they would come with intention not to lose and they certainly didn't show much ambition to win, the referee had blown his whistle long before the ball was in the net so it can't really be a disallowed "goal". We had chances in a dire game and kept thier keeper busy, time wasting that they started in the first half cost them in the end. We'll taken pen by Fletcher in a pressure situation. Bring on the Toon.
