samssong
It seems as though Mary is not the only one who has given birth without having a bit of nooky . Thelma A twenty foot long python gave birth to six healthy babies at Louisville zoo without ever meeting a male of her species. Thelma is not the only virgin however as it has been reported that this often occurs in Turkeys as well as lizards and sharks who have spent all their lives in captivity . So the Christmas story is not as far fetched as some believe it can and does happen .
apelike
But in the Bible is states that an angel visited her in the night and by all accounts lights were also seen in her tent on the night in question. Being at the tender age of 12 she may well have been taken advantage of and if not by God then someone else.

If it did somehow miraculously happen Jesus would have to have been a female, as the offspring would have to have two X chromosomes.

Robin-H
There's an episode of House re this topic. Great show. Yes I remember that one, it was a good episode. If memory serves House pretends that a woman's baby is due to human parthenogenesis in order to save the woman from having to reveal that she had had sex (for some reason it was a big deal, can't remember why - I think she was engaged to be married but the fiance insisted they were both virgins, or something).
