top4718;11586538]Thanks GM Hogans had one good season, Rhodes has had several not quite made the step up to the prem but at this level one of the best.

Hasn't Hogan had a couple of spells out with injury? Maybe that's why West Ham pulled out.

Rhodes is very capable at Championship level.

If we go up, this could be £10m well spent. If not, it could limit our transfer dealings next year. Rhodes is well capable and we've shifted some big earners today, so his wages should be ok.

Time will tell if this is a good deal. It certainly looks like an exciting one.

CC said yesterday that agents are linking their players to Wednesday in an effort to make other clubs put bids in for them and that Wednesday have to be realistic with how much they spend and work within FFP.

It all makes sense really .....don't spend beyond your means...

It seems Carlos was speaking with forked tongue and tricked a few of us.:rant:.

18:46 Rhodes on his way to Wednesday

I'm told Middlesbrough striker Jordan Rhodes is joining Sheffield Wednesday for a fee of £9.5m.

Rhodes' dad, Andy, is goalkeeper coach at the club. They can car share.

Rhodes has now commanded career transfer fees of £25m - all from clubs who were in the Championship when they bought him!

£8m to Blackburn

£9m to Middlesbrough

£9.5m to Sheffield Wednesday
