Jacktari
No, I've been drinking wine and listening to Courtney Barnett - what did she say? The basic theme was that the UK is not fit to lick Trumps boots, and that he is a hero speaking for the 'free' world. She will do her utmost to move forward his progressive ideas. ANGELFIRE1
Are you saying that just because he is the President, people shouldn't make criticisms of him? As the President of the most powerful Country in the world, maybe he should be shown a little respect, you never know it might help to alter some of his views. Angel1. ---------- Post added 26-01-2017 at 22:07 ---------- So what? He's still a bully who wants to torture people. A boorish unlikeable obnoxious priviledged hypocrit. He got there by promising to be very mean to people so other people would vote for him. That's not the mark of anyone who should have control of anything more useful than a used match. ---------- Post added 26-01-2017 at 14:37 ---------- Let's rewrite that with a few other well known world leaders. To all Ferdinand Marcos' detractors, get over it, he is NOW the Prime Minister of the Phillipines To all Ghengis Khan's detractors, get over it, he is NOW the ruler of the Mongol Horde To all Emperor Napolean's detractors, get over it, he is NOW the Emperor of France To all Stalins detractors, get over it, he is NOW the Party Leader Greatness in power and rule of a country doesn't mean you are good. Despite what you think of the Donald, he is the President of the most powerful Nation on this planet. Ridiculing him helps no one, not even the keyboard warriors who perpetrate the bile against him. blake
you couldn't make this stuff up. The British Tory Conservative Prime Minister becomes the first foreign leader to address the annual US conservative Republican jamboree in Philadelphia, where she says she is not just there, as the UK Prime Minister, but also as a 'fellow conservative'. then she says that she is going to see the president tomorrow and that she's looking forward to it, because 'opposites attract'. she's just told that conservative gathering, in a not-so-coded message, that she knows, just like they know, that Trump is not a conservative, or One of Us, at all. It was a bizarre speech...half of it sucked US **** and massaged Trump's ego, but then there were things she said, that President Fart wouldn't understand, but that all his foreign policy officials would understand , that really tore him a strip...and told him his place. Be interesting to see if he was listening or groping some poor girl's "pussy"
blake
truly bizarre. The 'coded message' was, hey isn't it great 'we' (conservatives) have got both houses but I'm not sure about if that guy in the White House is one of us at all and I don't know what to expect tomorrow. which nobody else, including Trump does either. I think whoever planned the schedueling did a good job there and made sure that she didn't go directly to the White House. I think they may have thought heck they might have to invoke the 25th amendment in a couple of weeks, lets get onside in case they do.
tinfoilhat
Trump has made billions. Has trump made billions by making fair and even handed deals or has he got the very best deal for him? I hope Teresa has taken her best underwear.
blake
because his mother was Scottish people, including Trump himself, try to make out that he's some sort of Anglophile but I wouldn't be so sure. the Anglophiles in American politics, the ones that stand out as being more sympathetic than usual (although nearly all of them are at least vaguely sympathetic) come from all sorts of backgrounds. They needn't have gone to Oxford like Clinton or have a British mother like Trump. it's got to be an advantage that they've managed to sort out this visit when he hasn't even been president for a week. It's amazing that they managed it actually. They'll be thinking he's going to be like a rabbit in the headlights, Trump has got no political experience at all and even though May is new on the international stage, she's still unlike him been around in frontine politics for a while. Phanerothyme
The best thing about Trump will be the backlash. It even started before he did. I predict impeachment hearings (or similar moves to legitimately remove him from office) before the next election, maybe even in 2017.
