The Great Wall of Trump.

Recommended Posts

It looks like an done deal. Mr President Trump signed the order to build his wall along the Mexico border. Cost no problem Mexico going to pick up the tab on import taxes the estimated cost could be from 17 billion dollars to an eye watering 25 billion dollars.

The border will cover many different terrains is this idea even practical ?

The issues are varied like negotiating for private land deals , wild life , the actual construction of the wall getting materials to the various sites it will be an huge undertaking . This could end up been Trump's folly .

Its fascinating and at least it isnt dull. Its highly questionable whether it will be as effective as he thinks, except it appeals to his voters. Mexico is the US 3rd biggest trading partner, so its essentially going to turn into a trade war. The wall could be with us for decades if not longer. I have a feeling it will end up costing a lot more.

The drugs will still get through and there wil be more overstayers, intil they have built enough tunnels. He's had an eventful first week.

I have read that tyres imported from China are/were taxed at 40%; so perhaps there is support for tariffs?

Tariffs receive in 1800 = $10.8 million

Tariffs receive in 1900 = $567.2 million
