blake
Wondered who would be the first to suggest Western Union Moneygram is a much safer way of doing it, IMO. And also costs less than a tenner, as already stated. a lot depends upon WHERE in South Africa it is where they are supposed to be picking up the money, and which nobody has bothered to establish. Away from the large cities you are not likely to be able to find a Moneygram outlet. Whereas even very small towns are going to have Western Union. seeing as it's South Africa, tell whoever is picking up, to be careful that they don't get mugged. But they're probably going to know that anyway. Edited January 31, 2017 by blake

Well somehow, between my OH and her daughter they have managed to make the transfer...Initiated from SA somehow...It ended up costing just a couple of quid...
