peak4
Looking from the inside, Anti-clock wise. Outside will be clockwise. Depending on the individual vehicle, surely that would depend on whether the relevant track rod end has a left or right hand thread. On mine, the track rod specifically has left hand thread at one end, and right at the other; so that slackening both locknut/pinch-bolts and twisting the tube varies the overall length, and thus adjusts the tracking. (hence it being called a track rod) To the OP. compare the appearance of the exposed thread, near the locknut, with that of a conventional bolt. If the helix angle goes the same way, then Dardandec's advice holds true; if it goes the opposite way, then that particular TRE is a left hand thread, so the opposite direction for tightening/loosening is appropriate. geared
Those are pretty rare though, get them on some land rovers and a few classics but it's not common. While doing the rod-end it's usually a good idea to check the condition of the rod at the same time. Especially if it has a spherical joint near the rack end, these wear out and cause alot of slop in the steering.

I've never come across left hand track rod threads on a vauxhall hence why I didn't complicate matters. You probably didn't see the original thread that was moved to here which states a vauxhall vivaro.

alchresearch
hi my airbag light is flashing on the dash board,Does anyone know how i can solve this please...thanks First of all you need a diagnostic for your car. There are several airbags on cars nowadays and it would be a waste of time and money to not find out which one is faulty. Most common airbag faults are a bad connection on the driver's airbag or the plugs for the sensors under the front seats. They can be repaired by disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes, disconnecting the plugs and soldering the wires together. But, it varies from car to car, so get that diagnostic and check a forum for your particular make and model to find out if its a common issue. Top Cats Hat
hi my airbag light is flashing on the dash board,Does anyone know how i can solve this please...thanks Before spending any money on diagnostics, check the wiring under the passenger seat. 8 out of 10 SRS (airbag) faults are located there as cars usually have one driver and many passengers so the passenger's seat is moved back and forth more often. Most of the time a connector has just come loose rather than broken. Remember and SRS warning light is now an MOT fail.

cktweety
Advice please, I have a Peugeot 208, 62 reg. On Sunday the engine light came on along with a light next to it that looks like the engine light but with an exclamation mark in it and the service light. The service and light with the exclamation mark went off after a minute but the engine light stayed on. The next day none of the lights were lit then again today the lights came on and my car seemed to lose power for a second or two then the power came back. This happened 3 times. Any advice on what I should do please? All advice greatfully received, thanks for reading
