Israel and the US abandon the two-state solution'

which jews have a claim to Palestine? Surely not the white-skinned Eastern European immigrants?

Do not tell me they have a claim to Palestine because that won't wash.

last time I checked, the Palestinians had been living there for hundreds of years. These Eastern European immigrants, even you will admit, arrived merely decades ago.

the ancient homeland of Eastern Europeans in Eastern Europe.

Now, let us give the Palestinians their sovereignty back, and give Palestine back to the Arabs.

Okay there's a lot wrong with this post, but I'm curious how you justify the anti-immigrant stuff. Does a second, or third generation immigrant in the UK occupy some lower status here than a 10th or 100th generation immigrant?

The bulk of the Israelis were born there (not all). The bulk of the Palestinians were born there (not all).

Both cultures have strong ties to the land. The Palestinians go back centuries, the Jews go back millennia.

How can you possibly pretend that one claim is obviously right and the other obviously invalid?

except the Eastern European immigrants weren't living in the Middle East thousands of years ago.

Many/most of the people of Israel are the descendants of those who have lived in the region for thousands of years. Thousands is more than hundreds.

How do you reconcile your position on the rights of Jews who's ancestors come from recent Europe, with anything resembling a progressive position on the rights of immigrants in the UK?

most of these Eastern European immigrants have white skin and were born in Eastern Europe.

Perhaps you could explain how a white-skinned Eastern European can claim thousands of years of ancestry in the Middle East where the natives have brown skin, yet remain so white, and so Eastern European.

Now let's give the Palestinians their sovereignty back.

Okay you made me do this. You're wrong. Here's some science:

Yes the Israeli's have typically lighter skin than the Palestinians, but that doesn't mean what you think it does.

Please read the article.

Big difference is the Jamaican, Arab and Pakistani immigrants that arrived in Britain in the 1950s were welcomed here by the British government.

Unless I'm missing something fundamental, the Palestinians didn't ask for Eastern European immigrants to invade and take over their country by force.

Now let's give the Palestinians their sovereignty back.

That's not what happened.

As you would know if you'd read any of the history which has been linked to in this thread.

But no, let's not let facts get in the way shall we.

You are beginning to show signs of anti-semitism,you are coming across as having racist tendancies.I am slightly surprised as you are usually against racism.

is it racist to demand your sovereignty back ?

Please advise.

I have not posted anything that could be described as anti-semitic.
