Best way to clean flooded passenger car carpet

Recommended Posts

Cut and paste from the Pugforum:

Depends on the car. But I'd whip out the front seats and take out the carpet (pr1vatepiles did it on his 307, there's pictures on here).

Give it a good wash then let it dry in the bath.

You won't get a 100% clean and dry while its in the car.

Yep needs to be removed and cleaned out of the car.

Might also be worth sticking a dehumidifier in the car, all the coolant will have soaked into the underlay/sound deadening material.

It's a total sod to get that dry, and you don't want wet carpets sitting in the car permanently.
