Itrytoplease
Pay as you go Fuel cap – Electricity I’ve just had my quote from Scottish power now that the Fuel cap comes into force in April. current Kwh 14.404p ......new KWh 13.740p a saving of 0.664p per unit Not bad you might think as last year I used 3,472 units so should save - £23.05p NO CHANCE First the standing charge has gone up--- from 27.39p per day to 28.76p per day an increase of £5.00 per year -----OK so my savings will now be £18.05p per year No Chance They have decided to take away the Duel Fuel Discount for pre-payment customers ONLY meaning you lose another £5.25 per fuel. I don’t think this was the intention of the government when they introduced this CAP. Edited March 2, 2017 by Itrytoplease

Itrytoplease
Whats this cap?? Are you really paying 14p/kWh?? Are you on a card meter or something? Yes, a pre-payment meter. The government told the energy companies that there is going to be a MAX price they could charge - the Price Cap.
