MPs pay rises??

Recommended Posts

I just read another 11% pay rise story.

What pay rises have MPs had over the last 25 years, averaged and compared with Joe public pay rises?

We should get behind our MPs and support them, not denigrate them at every opportunity.

It's determined by a formula and administered by IPSA.

The idea was to de-politcise it. I objected at the time.

They did take a big pension cut and they do now operate under a decent expenses control and oversight system.

My MP Louise Haigh though she can not refuse the pay rise has started a charity fund with the increase since last year. Local Charity organisations in the Heeley Constituency can apply for grants to help with their work.

Perhaps people in other constituencies should pressure their MPs to do the same.

No they don't. I read an article in the Guardian saying it was as bad as before, just more covert.
