This might seem harsh for simple wood waste, but its a result of all the fly tipping. The council can barely afford most services. It is hardly fair to subsidise private companies by taking waste off there hand for free. Private individuals can simply take waste to the tips for free in a car or 12 times per year in a van if they apply. Waste costs a lot to sort through and dispose. We have private companies that do this and they charge the market rate. Businesses should pay this rather than fly tip. The market rate is quite high so I can see why companies like to fly tip and make extra profit. It doesn't make it right though. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
