The Consequences of Brexit (part 3)

Recommended Posts

This stuff which the Tories are coming out with now about Brexit,is getting more incredible and desperate by the day.The money which the leave campaign suggested be given to the NHS,that doesn't matter, because they are now admitting that the future of the NHS and public services is dependent on them getting a good Brexit deal ,in other words Brexit is a complete gamble on what they manage to negotiate, and what the EU is prepared to give, jobs, economic prospects, the lot..............so all this spouting by Boris and May straight after the referendum about the brave new world outside the EU, and how the money that was given to the EU would be used to improve the NHS and god knows what else,is looking sick after words like these:

Hunt said the NHS was dependent on the UK’s economic recovery and growth. “If we don’t get a good Brexit outcome and we don’t protect the economic recovery, the jobs that so many people depend on, whose taxes pay for the NHS, if we get a bad Brexit outcome, that would be a disaster for the NHS,” he said.

However, the health secretary refused to specify what a bad deal would be, or to say whether the UK leaving the EU without an agreement and defaulting to World Trade Organisation tariffs would also affect the NHS.

“We’ve been very clear that no deal is better than a bad deal,” he said. “I’m saying that a good deal would be best for the NHS, but obviously a bad deal would be the worst possible outcome for all our public services. It would be bad for the country.”

Wonder if phil will respond to that?

The bank bail out, was centrally paid, which i agree amounts to X amount per person, but green taxes impact every household as they pay their fuel bill. To be honist i disagree with both.

The disgusting 2 faces of Farage and the Brexiteers when Democracy doesn't suit them and they get the wrong result. They can't keep their noses out of French politics.,but expect everybody else who disagreed with Brexit to shut up and 'the people have spoken':

A Brexit campaign group poured scorn on France and Emmanuel Macron after the centrist newcomer comfortably defeated his far-right opponent Marine Le Pen in Sunday’s presidential election runoff.

The Twitter account of Leave.EU, the pro-Brexit pressure group set up by Nigel Farage for last year’s referendum, tweeted that the French people had once again “rolled over” just as they had done in 1940 – except this time they saved Germany “the bullets and the fuel”. The tweet also included a picture of a newspaper headline from 1940 reporting the surrender of France to the Nazis.

Picking up on the same theme, Farage tweeted: “A giant deceit has been voted for today. Macron will be Juncker’s puppet.”

The former Ukip leader was predicting that Le Pen would come back stronger in five years and eventually win the presidency thanks to a backlash over Macron’s pro-globalisation and pro-EU policies.

Le Pen had told Macron during the debate that whatever happened in the election, a woman would be running France – either her, or the German chancellor, Angela Merkel.

As well as praising Le Pen in recent weeks, Farage declared in a TV interview on Sunday morning that the 48-year-old had “lost weight” and was “looking pretty fit”.

Several other Brexiters mocked Macron’s relationship with his wife Brigitte, who first met the president-elect when she taught him at high school and is 24 years his senior.

Katie Hopkins tweeted a picture of the pair and the caption: “Macron’s wife has promised him a special new toy from the shops tomorrow for being such a clever little boy.”

Echoing a line used by Le Pen in a televised debate with Macron on Thursday, Simon Richards, the CEO of the libertarian group the Freedom Association, said: “Macron evidently likes older women, so he’ll make an excellent lapdog for Angela Merkel

Germany, not China, will be Donald Trump’s enemy number one according to a European think tank. [link]

Perhaps that's why the UK government have appointed a Brexit negotiator who specialises in military conflict [link]

The ill will of Brexiteers towards the EU is rather pathetic. The UK voted to leave, result. Now stop trying to destabilise other nations. The outburst by Farage is just fuel onto the fire when it comes to these negotiations, that of course is the ulterior motive of hard line Brexiteers who want to see a full break from the EU but they are continuously ignoring the veracity of issues that face them.

The worse they make the negotiations for the UK, the more likely there will be a hard border in Ireland, to name but one massive issue. With the political situation in NI as it is, that could well trigger Trouble 2.0.

The thing is, there's a tool available for everyone to use and abuse and insulting comments have been aimed and fired in all directions. In the lead up to June 23rd and ever since. Derisory comments mean very little, they're spoken in moments of anger and frustration.

I'm pleased Macron won even though it's bad news for us maybe. Le Pen would have been a disaster for Europe which already has a big problem if all reports of widespread unrest are true and I see no reason for them not to be, not when so many sources report the same thing.

Fortuitous possibly but I still say the right choice has been made with regard to leaving.

Farage and the Brexiteers aren't satisfied with the leaving, they need to go further and denigrate a democratic choice by French voters,if you can't see the hypocracy of what both of their faces are saying regarding this and what they are saying to Remainers in the UK by brushing it off as simply insulting comments, you are missing the point by a mile, and the point is that they are only happy with democracy and the voice of the people when it goes their way, their kind of democracy, when it doesn't, their true nature is exposed, and it's not a pretty sight.

Just for reference are you using the term brexiteers to engulf all leavers?
