Any social groups to make new friends?

New to this forum thing haha. Just about to move into the city centre (currently live s12) and keen to make some friends.

 

Is there any groups that people can recommend for me to join?

 

I enjoy reading, crafting, sewing and baking as well as going out for drinks and to the cinema

 

Alot of my friends have moved away or have moved on with their lives (getting married, babies etc.) I'm only 22 and although I have a long term boyfriend I don't want any of that just yet! Just here to make some friends as feeling a bit lonely and isolated

Have you looked at meetup.com ? Loads of stuff on there. Fancy helping me and 10 others organise a street party in S7? We will probably meet in the pub to discuss stuff.

I'm in a really similar position; I'm 21, I've recently moved back to Sheffield and feeling rather isolated at the moment too.

 

I have really similar interests and was wondering if you'd had any luck in finding places to socialise and such?

On the cake making front have you heard of Free Cakes Sheffield? They make cakes for people who might not be able to afford one. They also do other social stuff.

this seems to be a problem most groups are for mums,toddlers,babys or pensioners there seems very little for other age groups.
