andysm
I was just watching a cop show on TV where a woman having a bath was electrocuted and killed when someone threw an electric guitar (which was plugged into an amp) into the bath. Would that happen? Surely electric guitars don't run on mains voltage? edit to add: the amp was in a different room, connected to the guitar with a long cable. carltoncdx
Around 80mv @ 50ma is enough to stop your heart. Good reason NEVER to lick a 9v battery!!
carosio
Yes but it might need in excess of 100v to drive that amount of current though the body. Any shock (current) from a 9v battery is over the short distance where the tongue contacts the two terminals.
