I had heard from my brother during his family tree lookin' that the family name of Pitcock had come from the Sheffield, Bakewell area. In the 1901 census there was a Annie Pitcock 42 and a Jonatjon Pidcock 46 both living in Shefield and born locally he was a steel worker moulder.
