Accompanied by Sheffield's best blues musicians this is one not to miss - 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month 9pm, free entry. Wednesday 12th April: Quiz Night The highly irreverent Quiz is every Wednesday at The White. Hosted by the inimitable Mr Bling, you and your team must overcome 3 rounds of general knowledge, an audio round and a picture round in order to claim the prize. Throw into the mix some random challenges, spot prizes, lashings of real ale and a completely free buffet with veggie, vegan and gluten-free options and you're onto a winner. 9pm, 50p entry Thursday 13th April: Jam Night Hosted by Sheffield legend Chris Firminger and backed by his regular house band The TwoJays, this evening provides a platform for musicians from all over Sheffield and further afield. Renowned for the musicians it attracts, the Thursday Jam sees regular attendance and performance from the likes of Julian Jones, The Carnival, Open Jaw Fayre, The Crashers, Grave Danger, Fahrenheit, Vamp and many more. Full backline and P.A. provided, come watch or join in. 8.30pm, free entry Friday 14th April: Supercrush Booked by popular demand from our customers, Supercrush are an amazing 4 piece covers band with a repertoire than spans from the 70s till the present day. From AC/DC to Shania Twain, from Rainbow to The B52s, from Survivor to The Killers - you're in for a real musical treat from this super eclectic group. 9.30pm, free entry Saturday 15th April: Vyndictive 60s, 70s and a few from across the other decades, Vyndictive bring the greatest in rock and pop from those eras. With a long and varied musical career, the evergreen Graham Stride on drums, plus the rest of the boys, Vyndictive guarantee a night of solid sounds to entertain you. 9.30pm, free entry. Sunday 16th April: The Sunday Vinyl Session A chilled Easter Sunday of all vinyl records being played. Afternoon vibes to set you up for your week ahead or get over the last nights fun...how it works is easy: Bring your mates, the family....whoever Bring your vinyl, you play it Yes... You play your own vinyl!!! - full support provided if required 3pm till 7 Bank Holiday Monday: Fundraiser Last month the fab S8 vegan restaurant Make No Bones was broken into and the charity tins for Sheffield Hunt Sabs and Rain Rescue were stolen. This is a free entry fundraiser gig on a Bank Holiday Monday to replenish their coffers! It also includes a paper auction and food from Make No Bones. And this trio of performers - Hungarian Lanterns 'They possess a seemingly endless array of potent acoustic songs with instantly quotable wordplay' - bbc.co.uk A Sheffield and Berlin based musical project featuring the songs and vocals of sought after lyricist and award-winning comedian Anthony J. Brown, who has written texts for Lord Of The Lost, Scream Silence, Scarlet Dorn, Tunes Of Dawn, The Whispering Sea and Morrissey songwriter Boz Boorer. Julian Jones Solo show from acclaimed Sheffield songwriter and Acoustic Angel. ‘Enigmatic and hugely creative...showcasing melodic country songs with an indie tinge’ - Sheffield Star Treebeard The band play lively Celtic folk rock; traditional, original & contemporary songs & tunes on a variety of acoustic instruments, always guaranteed to get an audience up & dancing. They describe their style as 'Heavy Wood', a concept stolen from the Nottingham duo Twice Bitten, who used to support Haze back in the day. Treebeard released their first CD 'Heavy Wood' 2002, and a second CD 'Reel Ale’ in 2010.
