andrejuan
I'm told there used to be free NHS dental services (and NHS dentists). All dentists are now private, even where they provide, paid for, NHS services. At least in Sheffield we can get dental treatment on the NHS, and if we choose to it can be had for free, gratis, not a penny paid.
area 51
I am not surprised at all, politicians are not going to shoot themselves in the foot. That is why i do not trust any of them. The problem is that they think we are too stupid to work it out. tinfoilhat
Unless you get rid of the NHS though the back door. Take it apart slowly on the promise it can be cost effective to do this or that watch has A+E departments close one by one to make them ' cost effective'. Which labour did as well and at the last election said they wouldnt reverse any of the cuts or ring fence any money. The only party who have are the lib dems thus far to my knowledge. Cyclone
Does anyone really believe the Tories will close down the NHS? They have been in power more than Labour over the years and it is still going. The Labour Party introduced charges for NHS dental services and glasses in 1951, and later the Tories introduced prescription charges for people who needed occasional treatment (not for ongoing life treatment though). I think they can be trusted not to get rid of it, or at least as much as Labour can be trusted not to wreck it some other way. Anyone who doesn't believe that they are hell bent on privatising it is presumably living in a cave with no access to any media. ---------- Post added 10-05-2017 at 08:48 ---------- Why did the OP not stick around to answer any questions? Waldo
Labour rules out income tax rises for those earning less than £80,000. The basic annual salary for an MP £74,962. :hihi::hihi: They're not raising it for those over 80k, thry're just asking them to pay more. That's 'asking' them to pay more. Just recline their request, simple!
