Lex Luthor
when we leave the EU, perhaps we can have a 'FEU' (freedom from the EU day'). . I'm glad you immediately went on to explain what the abbreviation meant before I choked on my EU conformed, slightly curved, sensibly sliced banana. ---------- Post added 10-05-2017 at 08:39 ---------- Yes, I was in England in May of 1995 and also in 2005 and remember celebrations both times. Some pubs were playing Vera Lynn records etc and lots of people dressed in 40's gear on the actual anniversary. This was in Chesterfield town centre both times Sorry to disappoint you but that's just ordinary Chesterfield folk, in ordinary Chesterfield pubs, on any given day. But they don't play Vera Lynn songs nowadays lol. By the way my nephew has been the landlord at the Royal Oak in the market area, for the last 9 months or so and his dad would have told me if any wartime music was being played.
